Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our Michelin-starred, multi-AA Rosette awarded fine dining restaurant in North Wales. This prestigious role is perfect for a culinary leader who excels in crafting exceptional dishes and guiding a team towards continued Michelin recognition. Located in one of the UK’s most picturesque settings, our restaurant prides itself on a menu inspired by local, seasonal produce, offering a unique culinary experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a Michelin Star or similarly high-standard culinary environment, ideally within a hotel
- Expert knowledge of British cuisine and advanced culinary techniques
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and present dishes showcasing seasonal ingredients and personal culinary style
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring and leading a team to culinary excellence
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to creating unparalleled dining experiences
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire the kitchen team to uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
- Develop and execute seasonal menus that highlight the best of British ingredients using sophisticated culinary techniques
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring adherence to the highest standards
- Oversee inventory control, ordering, and cost management to maximize profitability while maintaining quality
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, mentoring kitchen staff to enhance their skills and professional development
