Salary: up to £45,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week (hours may vary depending on business needs)
Location: Stockport, Cheshire -Must be commutable – no live-in accommodation available
This well-established functions and events space in Stockport is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of its food and beverage operation and front-of-house service. This is a key leadership role within a well-established, privately run club environment, offering an excellent opportunity to join a professional and welcoming team.
The management team is committed to providing a warm and welcoming experience for members and guests. The venue offers an excellent range of beverages, including locally award-winning cask ales with a 5-star Cask Marque rating, alongside beers, craft gins, and an extensive wine and sparkling wine list.
An impressive terrace provides a relaxed setting to enjoy food and drink, while recent investment in a pizza oven has made handmade pizzas a popular choice. With a strong reputation for quality dining, the talented chef delivers a varied menu, from light bites and buffets to high-quality dishes, with popular themed dining nights and well-supported Sunday lunches.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily food and beverage sales and service
· Attend and contribute to weekly management meetings
· Ensure all functions and events are set up correctly and exceed customer expectations
· Maintain high standards across all member areas, ensuring they are fully serviced
· Order stock and ensure levels are consistent with business demand
· Manage front-of-house staffing levels
· Train, develop, and lead the front-of-house team to deliver consistently high levels of service
· Take responsibility for health and safety compliance across the site
