We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a well-established gastro pub in the Ribble Valley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and talented chef to work closely with the Head Chef, ensuring high standards of food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Assist in menu development and ensure high-quality dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and efficiency
- Maintain stock control, ordering, and supplier management
- Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are met
- Help manage kitchen budgets and control waste effectively
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior Chef de Partie in a high-quality kitchen
- A passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and creative cooking
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisation and time management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
