A firm favourite with holiday guests and homeowners, our client offers a variety of amenities, including a newly refurbished bar area, dining facilities, family activities, and impressive entertainment. With lively daytime activities and vibrant night-time performances, the venue has something for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations in the absence of the Manager.
- Assist the Manager in achieving business objectives and ensuring tight cost control in line with the P&L.
- Plan and analyse sales strategies, coordinating promotional activities and discount schemes.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members in conjunction with HR to meet departmental and business objectives.
- Ensure health, safety, and food safety standards are consistently met, reporting issues directly to the Manager or Health & Safety advisor.
- Maintain a strong focus on service standards, working with the Training Manager to improve professional standards.
- Communicate effectively across all departments to ensure smooth operations and high standards throughout the business.
- Ensure the venue operates to its full potential.
- Be knowledgeable about the 14 main allergens and competent in advising guests accordingly.
- Comply with licensing regulations.
- Manage a team of up to 20 staff at any given time.
- Assist with any issues within the arcade area.
- Open and close the venue, which operates from 9 AM to 1 AM, 365 days a year.
- Adapt to rota changes to meet business needs.
- Manage a diverse range of clientele in a fast-paced environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and driven to succeed.
- Strong skills in food and liquor control.
- The ability to inspire and manage a team for smooth day-to-day operations.
- Exceptional front-of-house service skills.
- Experience in health and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resilience and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Excellent personal presentation.
Additional Information:
This position is full-time, working 5 days out of 7. The role requires 45 hours per week, with full flexibility to work weekends and evenings, in line with the business needs.
Please note, the successful candidate will be subject to a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to the nature of the role.
