Mint People are looking for experienced Commis Chefs to join our growing Manchester team - with regular opportunities right across Manchester and Greater Manchester.

What you'll be doing

As a Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen team in preparing and delivering high-quality food while maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment. Typical duties include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting food to a high standard under the guidance of senior chefs

• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods

• Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards

• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety and allergen standards

• Keeping workstations, equipment and the wider kitchen clean and organised

• Supporting with stock control and minimizing food waste

• Working efficiently as part of a busy kitchen

• Developing your culinary skills and knowledge while working alongside experienced chefs

What we're looking for

We'd love to hear from experienced Commis Chefs!

You'll need:

• Previous experience at the level you want to work at

• Good food hygiene and allergen knowledge

• The confidence to adapt quickly to new kitchens and teams

• Reliability, professionalism and a calm head in a busy service

A driving licence and access to a car are helpful but not essential - many assignments are easily reached by public transport.
