We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a beautiful restaurant inn in the Lake District. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and reliable chef looking for ongoing work in a stunning location.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard
Leading and supporting the kitchen team during service
Ensuring your section runs efficiently and effectively
Maintaining high food hygiene, health & safety and kitchen standards
Managing stock levels, deliveries and food rotation
Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
Training and mentoring junior members of the team
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef is essential, along with strong leadership skills, a passion for quality food and the ability to remain calm and organised in a busy kitchen.
