We are currently recruiting for a Relief Housekeeper to join the housekeeping team at a prestigious 4-star hotel in Ambleside. This role is available for an immediate start and is ideal for a reliable, hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Due to the location and shift requirements, applicants must live within a commutable distance of Ambleside and have their own transport.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms to 4-star hotel standards.
Changing bed linen, making beds, and replenishing guest amenities.
Cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and ensuring all rooms are presented to a high standard.
Maintaining cleanliness in public areas, corridors, and staff areas as required.
Reporting maintenance issues, damages, or lost property to management.
Eng all housekeeping equipment and supplies are used safely and stored correctly.
Following hotel health & safety procedures and infection control standards.
Supporting the wider housekeeping team to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests.
Delivering excellent attention to detail to enhance the guest experience.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
Physically fit and able to carry out the demands of a housekeeping role.
Must be within a commutable distance of Ambleside.
Own transport is essential.
