Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Purchaser & Goods Receiver to support the smooth and efficient operation of a professional kitchen. This is a key role working closely with the kitchen management team and accounts to ensure procurement, stock control, storage, and deliveries are managed accurately and effectively.
The Role
You will manage the full purchasing, receiving, and stock management process for the kitchen, ensuring stock is correctly ordered, checked, stored, and controlled in line with food safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all purchasing and procurement for the kitchen
Raise, track, and manage purchase orders (POs)
Receive, check, and log all deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality
Oversee and manage the correct put-away, labelling, and storage of stock, ensuring FIFO is followed at all times
Maintain effective stock control systems, including regular stock takes
Monitor stock levels to minimise waste and control spend
Work closely with accounts to reconcile invoices and manage costs
Organise and coordinate delivery schedules to support kitchen operations
Liaise with suppliers to ensure service levels, pricing, and availability
Support the kitchen management team with reporting and administration
About You
Previous experience in purchasing, goods receiving, or stock control within a hospitality or food-led environment
Strong understanding of stock rotation, storage, and food safety standards
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident working with purchase orders, invoices, and accounts processes
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Proactive, reliable, and commercially aware
