As Interim Sommelier, you will oversee and enhance the guest wine experience within a renowned country property. This short-term position is ideal for someone with strong wine knowledge, excellent guest interaction skills, and the ability to confidently guide pairings. You will play a key role in ensuring guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience, while maintaining the standards and reputation of the property.

Interim Sommelier Ideal Profile:

WSET qualified (Level 2 or above preferred)

Strong knowledge of international wines and pairings

Experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Confident in engaging with guests to recommend and upsell

Adaptable and able to quickly integrate into an established team

Interim Sommelier Responsibilities:

Managing the wine service across the restaurant and private dining

Advising and guiding guests on wine selection and pairings

Maintaining stock control and cellar organisation during placement

Supporting and training the team on wine knowledge where required

Ensuring the highest standards of service in line with the property’s reputation
